Boyne Mountain Resort

Everett Kircher founded Boyne Mountain in 1947. This Bavarian style resort is located in the northwest lower peninsula of Michigan in Charlevoix County, about 250 miles north of Detroit and 17 miles south of Petoskey on US-131. Recognized as the Midwest's premier four-season resort, Boyne Mountain offers snowsports, golf, an indoor waterpark, a spa, lodging, dining, meeting facilities, a variety of outdoor activities and real estate opportunities. Opened in 2005, the Mountain Grand Lodge and Spa offers 220 units with state-of-the-art technology, an 18,000 square foot spa and fitness center, full service restaurant/lounge, an indoor/outdoor pool and hot tub and numerous guest amenities and conveniences. As an addition to Boyne Mountain's core amenities of snowsports and golf, Avalanche Bay™, an 88,000 square foot indoor waterpark structurally connected to the Mountain Grand entertains all ages. This aquatic wonderland features an expansive series of slides, tubes, waves, pools and falls as well as an arcade, food and beverage outlets and retail. As centerpieces of the Austrian-Swiss architecturally-themed resort village, Mountain Grand Lodge and Avalanche Bay are owned and operated by Boyne Mountain Recreation, LLC and Boyne Mountain Management, LLC, both owned by Boyne Resorts and New Frontiers Capital, LLC.
